1. About these terms
whatworks.tech is operated by DGMA Limited, Queen’s Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong(“we”, “us”). These terms apply whenever you use the site. If you do not agree with them, please do not use it.
2. What WhatWorks is
WhatWorks publishes general information about streaming services, TV devices, VPNs and other technology. It is not legal, technical or financial advice for your situation.
Each answer applies to the service, country, device and date it states. Read it with that scope in mind; see how we write verdicts.
3. Accuracy and dates
We check facts against their sources and date them, but services, apps, prices and rules change without notice. We do not guarantee that every page is complete or still current when you read it. Before you rely on something, check the current terms and help pages of the service or provider concerned.
4. VPNs and streaming services
Using a VPN is legal in many countries but not in all, and a streaming service's terms may forbid using one to change your location even where a VPN is legal. Services can block access or act on accounts that break their terms.
You are responsible for following the laws where you are and the terms of the services you use. We do not encourage anyone to break either.
5. Links, affiliate links and purchases
The site links to websites we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Some links to VPN providers are affiliate links; see how we make money.
If you buy a product after following a link, the contract is between you and the seller. Billing, refunds and support are handled by the seller under its own terms.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the text, design and data on WhatWorks belong to WhatWorks. You may read and share our pages, and quote short extracts with a credit and a link to the page. You may not republish substantial parts of the site or use it to build a competing product without our written permission.
Names, trade marks and logos of streaming services, devices and VPN providers belong to their owners. We use them only to identify those products; their use does not mean that any owner endorses WhatWorks.
7. Using the site
Do not use WhatWorks for anything unlawful, and do not try to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code or load it in a way that harms the service for others.
8. Our liability
The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by relying on its content, by third-party websites or products, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
9. Changes
We may change the site and these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms last changed.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you use WhatWorks as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings in its courts.
